Hi, I'm Tree. I'm a married 46 year old working mom of one almost teenage daughter. Since I'm 46, here are 46 things about me so you can get to know me.
1. My name isn't really Tree, just a nickname.
2. I seriously LOVE dogs, but Mr. Tree will only agree to one. I'm bitter about this.
3. Blue is my most favorite color, most of the time, but lately, pink has been working it's way in there.
4. I'm an elementary school teacher.
5. Reading is my favorite hobby. Specifically, reading in the porch swing on a warm day.
6. Diet Dr. Pepper is liquid heaven!
7. I drive fast. I know I shouldn't, but...I do.
8. I'm the youngest of 4 kids but by far the most responsible.
9. I'm fat because I eat too much.
10. Cheeseburgers are LIFE, also maybe partially responsible for #9.
11. I'm on Earth without my mom, my grandma, fathers and sister. It sucks sometimes.
12. Teaching is what I was born to do.
13. 2020 has made me question being a teacher.
14. I'm a pretty good cook and I like to experiment in the kitchen occasionally.
15. I take pretty decent pictures with my fancy camera. I think it's more the camera.
16. I hate the outdoors as far as actually being out IN it. Sure is pretty to look at though.
17. Bugs are EVIL. I'm terrified of most bugs. Especially spiders. 😱
18. I eat raw onions with my macaroni and cheese. Do NOT judge me until you've tried it!
19. I'm quite bitchy at times.
20. I'm crazy for Hallmark movies.
21. I do not have a brain for math; it doesn't come easily to me. Is 2+2 still 4?
22. I have a terrible singing voice but that doesn't stop me from trying.
23. I dislike pizza with red sauce. I know this is weird.
24. I have eclectic taste in music: Conway Twitty, Alabama, Nelly, Aretha Franklin, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift..I like what I like.
25. I give very thoughtful gifts and wish everyone would gift like I do.
26. I just adore Minions. They are so cute and who can be sad when looking at one?
27. I live in a tiny little town and I love it here. It reminds me of Mayberry in a way.
28. I get cold super easily and it is getting worse with age.
29. I prefer Apple over Android in EVERYTHING. All my Apple products communicate with each other..what's not to love about that?
30. I enjoy writing. Duh...as you can probably tell. People tell me I'm good at it, that I have a conversational style. I dunno, I just like to write.
31. I'm not a party animal. I believe in being responsible once you have children. But let's face it...I have NEVER been a party animal.
32. I enjoy driving and listening to music when I'm in a funk.
33. In the winter, I shower every other day. I have horrible dry skin and this seems to help during cold weather.
34. I hate sports. Well, watching sports at least. I don't mind playing volleyball but that's really the only one I enjoy. I'm not very good at it.
35. I like to keep all curtains and blinds closed at my house so it feels like a cave. A safe cave where there is no judgement and creepers from the outside.
36. Chocolate should be a food group, but not just any chocolate. Just Hershey's Milk Chocolate. It is sooooo good and I eat way too much of it.
37. I'm a Type II diabetic. Maybe that's because of numbers 9 & 37. I mean, PROBABLY because of #9 and #37. Actually, yes, that's the exact reason.
38. I have one brother I don't really speak to. I love him, but I don't like the person that he is.
39. My favorite numbers are 17 and 23 but I really don't know why.
40. I used to smoke but quit over 20 years ago.
41. I have never been drunk.
42. Daisies and morning glories are my favorite flowers.
43. I used to pick the daisies that were missing petals because I was afraid no one would love them. I know how they feel, not being perfect.
44. I am terrified of butterflies although I find them beautiful. They better not land on me though.
45. I am a Gryffindor through and through.
46. I'm a big time napper.
